MSU History graduate students Jodi Marshall and Akil Cornelius, have been awarded prestigious 2017/18 Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad fellowships. Marshall, whose dissertation advisor is Dr. Laura Fair, will be undertaking research on Zanzibar and Pemba and in Oman. Cornelius, whose dissertation advisor is Dr. Peter Alegi, will be conducting research in South Africa. Marshall and Cornelius continue MSU History’s successful run with DDRA awards. In 2016/17, graduate students Joey Bradshaw (research in Senegal and Mali), Dave Glovsky (Senegal), and Sean McDaniel (Russia) received the fellowships. Congratulations Jodie and Akil!
