Dear Colleagues, Yesterday three candidates were initiated into Phi Alpha Theta, the national history honorary. They were Jacob Dunn, Daniel Palthe, and Sophia Reiser. Professor Ronen Steinberg gave a very interesting and charming talk on “Difficult Pasts,” a topic that has intrigued him for some time and which relates to his work on the French Revolution. Students and faculty were enthralled by his presentation which stimulated much discussion. Thanks Ronen. Jane
