Emeritus Professor Lewis Siegelbaum’s book Cars for Comrades: The Life of the Soviet Automobile (Cornell, 2008) was cited in CNN Business’ report on the withdrawal of Renault from Russian car production and the announcement by Sergei Sobyanin, mayor of Moscow, that the city would take over the Renault factory to produce cars under the Soviet-era brand of Moskvich.
