Sidney Lu has been selected to receive a TOME (Toward an Open Monograph Ecosystem) Award from Michigan State University, 2018-9. This award will allow him to publish his book, The Making of Japanese Settler Colonialism: Malthusianism and Trans-Pacific Migration, 1868-1961 (forthcoming from Cambridge University Press) as an open access monograph.
