Le Wins Dissertation Fellowship

PhD student, Anh Le, was awarded today the Henry Luce Foundation/American Council of Learned Societies China Research Fellowship for my dissertation project entitled Traversing the Nanyang: Merchant Enclaves, Chinese Junk Networks, and the Making of Colonial Capitalism in French Cochinchina (1870-1940). This fellowship will fund  three months of fieldwork and archival research in mainland China and Taiwan this summer.
