Ethan Segal presented the paper “Coinage, Public Finance, and the Construction of Japan’s First Capital” at the Social Science History Association (SSHA) Annual Meeting in Chicago this weekend. His paper was part of a panel that Segal organized, titled “Monetary Histories Across Asia and the Atlantic World.”
