Professor Edward Murphy was awarded the 2014 Fintz Award for Teaching Excellence in the Arts and Humanities for teaching in Integrative Studies in the Arts and Humanities.

The Fintz Award recognizes exceptional faculty who, in keeping with the goals of integrative studies, seek to make students familiar with different ways of knowing and artistic expression and to assist them in developing critical thinking and effective communication skills. Further, the intention of the Fintz Award is to honor teachers for distinguished practice and to encourage others to follow their examples.
