Alumna Book Published

Kristina DuRocher, who graduated from the department with a BA in 2000, has just published her first book, Raising Racists: The Socialization of White Children in the Jim Crow South, with the University of Kentucky Press (2011). She is assistant professor of History at Morehead State University. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Illinois under the direction of Vernon Burton. While she was completing her MSU degree, Kristina served as an intern for Pete Danial at the National Museum of American History.
