Football Scholars Forum 10/20/10

The Football Scholars Forum will be meeting on Wednesday October 20, at 2pm East Coast time. We will be discussing parts 1-3 (pp. 3-479) of David Goldblatt’s The Ball is Round: A Global History of Soccer and will be joined by the author via skype. (The second half of the book will be covered in spring 2011.)

Please visit the website at scholars.footy-forum.net to check out some of the buzz around the book and to register as well. Also, be sure to email Alex Galarza with your skype name if your plan to participate so that we can include you in the conference call.

For those of you who cannot make this month’s meeting, we will be reading Laurent Dubois’s Soccer Empire on November 19 at 2pm, please join us then!
