My work focuses on three broad areas: comic books, Jewish working class issues, and American popular culture. My interest in these fields stems from my youth as well as the comic book’s acceptance as a legitimate, growing, and important form of academic inquiry. My forthcoming dissertation combines these interests and is currently titled Comic Book Men: The Construction of an American Jewish Workplace in the Comic Book Industry, 1933-1955.
