Join the Department of Computer Science and Engineering for their Distinguished Lecture Series on December 1st as Professor Moshi Yardi of Rice University presents Technology and Democracy. 

In this talk, Yardi explores why he thinks the United States is in the throes of deep societal polarization that leads to political paralysis and also threatens the foundation of democracy. Moshi argues that the current state of political affairs is the result of confluence of two tsunamis that have unfolded over the past 40 years: the tsunami of technology and neoliberal economic policies.
