History Major Jay Coyne Earns Fall Academic All-Big Ten Honors

Jay Coyne, a linebacker for the Michigan State University football team and a history major, was among a distinguished group of 150 Michigan State Spartans who were recently acknowledged by the Big Ten Conference for being named to the esteemed Academic All-Big Ten Team for the fall. 

To qualify for the Academic All-Big Ten selection, students are required to be a part of a varsity team (as confirmed by their inclusion in the official squad list by November 1 for fall sports), have been enrolled as full-time students at the institution for at least 12 months, and maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or above.
