Professor Kirsten Fermaglich receives grant for public programming

Kirsten Fermaglich is the lead investigator for a $22,000 public programming grant just awarded to the MSU Jewish Studies program from the Association for Jewish Studies.  The programming, scheduled for the 2010-2011 academic year, focuses on "Telling Family Stories: Jews, Genealogy, and History."  It will engage both local speakers and national experts to discuss the subjects of Jewish genealogy, history, family and identity with audiences in the mid-Michigan and the Detroit areas.
