On May 6, Michigan State University lost a dear friend and beneficiary: Dr. Muelder passed away at the age of 101. He was a professor of Political Science, an active vice president of Research, and dean of the Graduate School. In 1991 he donated nearly his whole life savings to various departments and organizations across Michigan State University, including the History Department.
