Liam Brockey win the A. H. de Oliveira Marques Prize for 2012

The A. H. de Oliveira Marques prize is awarded by the Association for Spanish and Portuguese History for the best article published on Portuguese History. The prize is given yearly, and carries an award of $250.00. Brockey was awarded for his article, “Doubting Thomas:  The Apostle and the Portuguese Empire in Early Modern Asia,” which appeared in Sacred History: Uses of the Christian Past in the Renaissance World, ed. Katherine Van Liere, Howard Louthan, and Simon Ditchfield (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2012).
