I am a historian of the global 1960s, focusing on Turkey and China. My research explores comparative social movements, particularly Turkish student and labor activism and Chinese workers’ experiences during the 1960s-70s. I also seek to outline the trajectory of Turkish radical left movements and examine the transnational circulation and impact of Maoism as an ideology.
