
Walker is a PhD student in African History with research interests in Early African and East African history, using combined methodologies of historical linguistic methods, oral tradition, GIS, and digital history. Walker has produced research on the experiences of Somali Bantu refugees, and published their chapter Wanawake Wavumilivu: Tanzanian Women’s Voices of Survivance that shares the experieces of Tanzanian women during the height of the COVID pandemic.
