Graduate student Brian Van Wyck recently published an article on Turkish teachers in West German schools.
The article, “Guest Workers in the School? Turkish Teachers and the Production of Migrant Knowledge in West German Schools, 1971-1989,” appears in a special issue of the journal Geschichte und Gesellschaft on the intersections between histories of migration and histories of knowledge. The special issue was edited by Simone Lässig (German Historical Institute) and Swen Steinberg (TU Dresden).
At MSU, Van Wyck is a doctoral candidate in modern European history advised by Dr. Karrin Hanshew.
