In the Social Science Help Rooms, students join a community of learners where they can receive free and unlimited tutorial assistance in select Social Science courses.
Our services are located all around campus in Engagement Centers and the Main Library, with numerous sessions scheduled Monday through Thursday between 3:00-9:00 PM.
We offer a variety of support options for students including drop-in tutoring, appointments, and review sessions. Please check your course to see which options are available and select the ones that best meet your needs. All are free and available to any students enrolled in the courses.
Students who plan to visit Help Rooms are encouraged to bring all relevant course materials, including syllabi, textbooks, assignments, and lecture notes.
Help Room Staff can assist with:
- Exam preparation
- Quiz preparation
- Homework completion
- Writing a paper (brainstorms, outlines, research statement, research guidance, etc.)
- Working on a project
- Better understanding concepts and topics presented in class
- Gaining additional information about concepts and topics presented in class
- And much more!
