Nomzamo Ntombela, a first-year PhD student in African history supervised by Professors Nwando Achebe and Peter Alegi, has been awarded a doctoral fellowship from the Chair in Violent Histories and Transgenerational Trauma at Stellenbosch University in South Africa.
The grant will assist Nomzamo’s research and writing goals in a number of ways, including through a residential fellowship at Stellenbosch. While there, she will have the opportunity to share her work as it develops through in-house webinar presentations with other doctoral students, and with a research team directed by Professor Pumla Gobodo-Madikizela.
Congratulations Nomzamo!
