Cora is pursuing a MA degree in U.S. Cultural Studies and Public History, along with a graduate certificate in Digital Humanities to better prepare her for a career in museum collection care and management. While working as an administrative assistant in the College of Engineering at MSU, she completed the Museum Studies Certificate in 2016 and began taking courses at the International Preservation Studies Center to gain the hands on experience needed to work with various collections. While working towards her MA, she is doing a  research project on early American lighting utilizing the Beisman and Votruba Collections of the MSU Museum. This research will be formed into a online exhibit for others to learn and appreciate how lighting materials, habits and ideas have changed with industrialization.

Cora is a member of the Michigan Museum Alliance and Michigan Emerging Museum Professionals. She has interned at the MSU museum (inventory and database updating), volunteered at the Michigan Historical Center (digitizing records) and at the Detroit Institute of Arts (digitizing video collections).
