Primary supervisor: Dr. Wake Naoko

Major field: U.S History

Minor fields: History of science and medicine

I am interested in the intersections of science, policy, and lived experience in the nuclear age. with a particular focus on how scientific uncertainty and political rationales define “safety “and shaped the recognition of radiation risk in U.S society in the 20th century.

In addition to academic research, I work as a documentary filmmaker. My dual practice as historian and filmmaker reflects a commitment to connecting scholarship with broader conversations on science technology and society.
