Peter Alegi, Peter Limb, and Dean Rehberger are presenting at the “African Studies in the Digital Age” workshop organized by the University of Michigan’s African Studies Center.
On Thursday, November 13, Alegi will discuss coproduction of digital history projects with African scholars and institutions and integrating digital humanities sources, methods & tools into African Studies undergraduate & graduate education. Speaking in the same panel, Rehberger will describe the nature of Matrix Africa-related projects. On Friday, Nov. 14, Limb is to speak about his research with the online “African Newspaper Archive,” a groundbreaking collection with more than 60 searchable newspapers published in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
