Year in program: 1
Primary supervisor: Dr. Matthew Pauly
Major field: Modern Europe
Megan is a first-year PhD student with a focus on modern Eastern Europe in the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Her research interests center on Ukrainian political and intellectual history during the interwar period, with an emphasis on state-building and political imaginaries. Megan is primarily concerned with how multinational interactions in emigration and the experience of statelessness impact the political imaginary and visions of statehood.
Before coming to Michigan State, Megan received her B.A. in History and International Relations from Long Island University Post.
