Leaving Legacies: A History of Individualism Outside the West, book talk by Dr. Shayan Rajani

Join us for a talk on the history of individualism in pre-modern South Asia. Find out how monuments and books supplemented and, in some cases, supplanted the expectation that children should carry on the good name of their parents. Learn about unexplored aspects of South Asian history, particularly from a global, regional and gendered perspective.
