My research focuses on Yugoslav constitutional law and its impact on the Balkan Wars
of the 1990s and the resulting genocide prosecutions at the International Criminal
Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia. In particular, I emphasize the complex
interrelationship between emotion, democracy in the socialist/post-socialist context, and
legality. Prior to beginning my studies at MSU, I obtained my juris doctorate at
Marquette University Law School. I was also a 2022-2023 Fulbright Scholar to Serbia.
