Lucy Cai (she/they) is a second-year PhD student in the Department of History at Michigan State University. Lucy holds an MA in Gender, Feminist, and Women’s Studies from York University in Toronto, Canada, and a BA in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and French from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania. Lucy’s research interests include women’s and gender history (20th-century China and France), global Maoism and feminism, transnational feminist activism, and postcolonial theories.
