First year PhD student, Anh Le, is the winner of the best graduate student paper award in Vietnamese History, this award is given by the Vietnamese Studies Group, a sub-committee of the Association for Asian Studies (AAS). His paper is entitled “A Personalist Revolution: Regime of Migration and Resettlement in the First Republic of Vietnam, 1954-1956” written under the supervision of Charles Keith.
Mr. Le will be receiving $500, one-year free subscription to the Journal of Vietnamese Studies, and travel funding to attend the AAS annual meeting in Seattle in March to accept the prize in person!
