
A new collection of historical studies, The Holodomor in Global Perspective: How the Famine in Ukraine Shaped the World, co-edited by John Vsetecka (MSU History PhD 2023) and Daria Mattingly, was published in early January 2026 by Ibidem–Verlag, distributed by Columbia University Press.
Associate Professor Matthew Pauly contributed a chapter titled,”‘We Cannot Walk About the World Hungry’: Soviet Children’s Policy, Triumphalism, and Isolationism during the Holodomor.”
Noted journalist and historian Anne Applebaum provided the introduction.
