Fiifi Anaman is a PhD student and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the History department of Michigan State University (MSU).  

He is a writer with over a decade of experience, specializing in longform narrative non-fiction. His sports writing has appeared on the likes of Goal.com, BBC, SuperSport, Telegraph, ESPN, Africa is A Country and Business Insider.  

He has received a “Best Writing” award from the International Sports Press Association (AIPS) and has also been honored at the CNN Multichoice African Journalist Awards. He is the author of “The Black Star”, which chronicles the life of African football legend C.K Gyamfi, and the yet-to-be-released “Number 12”, which tells the inside story of an investigation into football corruption. 

His undergraduate degree was in Political Science at the University of Ghana. His doctoral research, under the supervision of Professor Peter Alegi, will explore the history and evolution of football in Ghana, using the foundational era of 1950s and 60s as a case study.
