Ph.D. candidate Katie Carline has been awarded a Doctoral Fellowship for 2020-21 by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. This fellowship supports research and writing for Canadian doctoral students at universities in Canada and around the world. Carline will use this fellowship to continue research and writing for her dissertation, “Black Women’s Christian Associations and the Making of Urban Cultures in Twentieth-Century South Africa, 1920-1994”
