Department of History Podcasts

The American Indian Studies Graduate Student Consortium Podcast explores new voices, topics, and developments in American Indian Studies from a graduate student perspective.  The podcast is produced by several graduate students from the CIC-AISC universities.

Africa Past & Present is a podcast about history, culture, and politics in Africa and the diaspora. Hosted by Peter Alegi and Peter Limb, the show highlights interesting people, ideas, and discussions in African Studies from a wide range of disciplines and perspectives. Their mission is to broaden access to cutting-edge knowledge about Africa and to do so in a down-to-earth manner. Shows feature interviews with eminent scholars and persons, commentary on current events, and key debates for Africans at home and abroad. Africa Past and Present is hosted by AODL: the African Online Digital Library, and MATRIX.

The Greater Mexico podcast looks at society, culture, and politics in Mexico and the Chicano experience in the United States. The podcast is hosted by Michigan State University historians Jerry Garcia and Benjamin Smith and produced by MSU Department of History.
