I am a graduate student in Russian and Soviet history studying with Dr. Lewis Siegelbaum. My dissertation will discuss ballet in the early years of the Soviet Union, a period which has received relatively little historical study at this point. I also study Modern Europe and Dance Ethnography.
Outside of my specific research interests, I am interested in the role of technology in education. My time working as a graduate student at www.h-net.org has prompted me to examine more closely the role of communications technology and web based venues for scholarly discussion. Furthermore, I hope that these media will help historians and scholars to reach a wider audience.
