Check the Registrar’s Schedule page for a complete listing of fall and spring courses offered by the History Department. The History Department of Michigan State University offers online courses for both summer sessions. You can take 100, 200, 300, and 400 level courses online from anywhere in the world and make progress on your degree. All you need is a sustainable, broadband connection to the internet. You can finish a 100 or 200 level prerequisite over the summer and then take more advanced courses during the fall and spring terms. You can also take one of our 300 or 400 level specialty courses courses on a range of topics from the American Civil War to the Culture of Soccer. If you are interested in our online courses, please visit our registration information page. You need not be an Michigan State student to take our courses, you can be a student someplace else or simply any person with a high school diploma (or equivalent) who wants to learn more about history.
