Congratulations to Jessica Marie Johnson who was awarded a 2015-2016 Mellon Postdoctoral Scholars Fellowship in the Program of African American History at the Library Company of Philadelphia. She will be in Philadelphia beginning September 2015 and through May 2016 completing research on her current book manuscript, a history of free women of African descent traveling between Senegal, the Caribbean, and Gulf Coast Louisiana during the eighteenth century.
